The Clan MacBean Register has carried the clan’s news since 1908. Each issue brings family news and queries, births, marriages and deaths, lineages and research from the genealogist, clan history, and reports from gatherings and Highland games.
Members receive it twice a year, and every issue back to 1908 is in the Members Area, indexed so you can search it by name, place or story.

Clan reunions. Every four years members of Clan MacBean come together from around the world for a reunion. Clan trips also take members to Scotland. The last was in August 2022, for the inauguration of the 23rd Chief at McBain Memorial Park, and the next is in 2027, for the 300th anniversary of Clan Chattan.
Highland games. Many members meet at Highland games, and The Register carries news of games and events. The late Chief James McBain of McBain attended the Arizona games for more than 38 years in a row.
Clan Chattan. As a founding member of the Clan Chattan Association, the clan joins its sister clans at Clan Chattan events in Scotland. Visit Clan Chattan.
Watch. Films of park dedications, the inauguration and other clan events are on the Clan MacBean YouTube channel.

Clan news, photos and events are shared on Facebook. Follow along and join the conversation.
The Association began as the John Bean of Exeter Family Association. After it fell dormant, Bernie Bean revived it as Clan MacBean in North America, Inc. When the clan’s first website went online in 1996 and members joined from around the world, it became Clan MacBean, Inc. It is run by its members through an elected Board of Directors and officers, with regional commissioners who represent the clan in their areas.
Clan MacBean, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization. Its purpose is to share the history, heritage and culture of Clan MacBean and the Clan Chattan confederation through histories, genealogies, works of art and other educational activities. Gifts to the clan are tax-deductible in the United States.
Members can find the board, the regional commissioners and the clan’s by-laws in the Members Area.
Donations help preserve the clan’s records and photographs, publish The Register, and care for McBain Memorial Park in Scotland.
